I must confess, Cucumber Crush was not on the top of my favorite list for the new In Colors. I found the bright shade of green too over powering on most things I used. However, this card shared with me by Tracy Yoo has got me rethinking Cucumber Crush.
For me, I guess I’ve always used green as more of an accent color and Cucumber Crush kind of always tried to steal the show. In this case, when Cucumber Crush is used front and center it becomes the star of the show. The bold diagonal stripes from the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack sets the stage. I believe keeping the design simple is the trick to not overpowering the card. The pop of red in the cherries brings the eye to the center of the card.
