I spent a wonderful weekend with 9 amazing women at my team Weekend Getaway in Cambridge Wisconsin. We rented a beautiful home that has a large dedicated crafting area, a media room, fantastic kitchen and a bed for everyone to have their own. We stamped, read, crocheted, scrapbooked, paper crafted, watched movies, ate, laughed, made a campfire… it was a glorious time.
This is one of the projects I worked on over the weekend. I found something like this on Pinterest and decided to try it, so I purchased the unfinished birdhouse at a craft store, then I painted it and then got out my Stampin’ Up! papers, inks and punches and decorated it. I love the way it turned out. I had originally thought, “oh this would be fun to do at a class”, Well ladies, let me tell you, this took me about 6 hours to complete, so we will not be making this at a class. You’ll just have to admire it in the photo.
We also each made a shoebox swap, where we each designed a project and cut supplies for each person in attendance to make. So with 10 of us there, we came home with 9 new ideas. Some were cards, some were 3-D items, and all were fabulous.
Cathy S. designed this fun Frankenstein Fry Box which is perfect for filling with some Halloween treats…
as well as this Pumpkin Fry Box.
Amanda W. designed this fun Halloween card that we all got to make.
America L. designed an invitation to a Quincinero, so I changed it a bit to make it into a birthday card.
I’ll be sharing some more of the Shoebox swap projects in the next few days, so until then, happy stamping!
