We had a great time last night at my Tools of the Trade class. This month feature “tool” or product is the Blendabilities. Everyone received a package of Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Blendabilities as part of the class fee. Over the next few days I’ll be sharing all of the different techniques everyone learned at the class. The first technique featured on the card above is blended coloring. This is the way Blendabilities were designed to be used. Isn’t it stunning with the new Beauty of the Season stamp set? This set is in the new Holiday catalog and it is the one set that Stampin’ Up! is allowing everyone to order early, so you can get it now!
The blended technique is achieved by stamping the image in our Momento Ink and using the darkest of the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities along the outer edges of the cardinal using the fine tip end. Next I used the middle shade of Cherry Cobbler and finally the lightest color blending each with small circular motions. The twigs were colored in with the medium shade of Old Olive.
Here is the inside of the card. I love this fold, it’s so unexpected. The card is Cherry Cobbler and is cut 4 1/4″ x 8 1/4 and is scored at 5 1/2″.
The next layer is Always Artichoke and the card stock measures 3 3/4″ x 9 1/2″ scored at 4 3/4″. The top and inside layers are Whisper White card stock cut 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for another way to use Blendabilities.
