Altered Acetate Card Box makes perfect candy box

Are you like most people and you’ve flipped right past the Acetate Card Boxes in the Holiday catalog?  It’s easy to do because there clear and unless you’re specifically looking for them, they’re hard to notice.  Well, not anymore!  You’ll be looking for them once you see what you can do with them!  (You’ll find them on page 13 of the Holiday Catalog- 10 in a package for $6.50)  So, are you wondering how I did this?….

Stampin' Up! Acetate Card Box, More than Chocolate stamp set, Stampin' Studio

…well, the boxes come flat, so I cut one in half before folding it into a box.  Next I cut a piece of Painted Harvest Designer Series Paper 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ and scored one side at 3″ and 3-1/2″.  After folding on the score lines I inserted the Designer Paper into the box making the 1″ edge become the front flap.  I stamped the sentiment from the More than Chocolate stamp set on very Vanilla cardstock and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch.  I punched out another label from Cajun Craze to layer behind the Very Vanilla piece.  The Cajun Craze leaf was cut out using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, then it was attached to the tag with Mini Glue Dots.  I attached tag to the designer paper and added a piece of Velcro to the back of the tag and the front of the box to hold the flap shut; this way the box is reusable.  A Kit Kat Bar fits perfectly inside the box and is a fun way to serve up a fun treat!
