Those that joined my new In Color Club which started this month have or will be receiving everything in Fresh Freesia including the cardstock, Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Write Marker, Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack, Ink Pad, Re-inker, Open Weave Ribbon and Jewels.  Each month I will also be surprising them with a full size accessory from the catalog just for participating in the 5 month club commitment.   This month they got the Loose Flower Flourishes Embellishments featured on page 141 of the Annual Catalog.

I made a card for each club member featuring the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set in Fresh Freesia.

Measurements: 

  • Fresh Freesia: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2 and 3-3/4” x 3-3/4”
  • Basic White: 5-1/4” x 4” and 3” x 3”
  • Fresh Freesia In Color Designer Series Paper: 2” x 5”
  • Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon: 12”

Instructions:

  • Stamp sentiment with Memento Ink on lower right corner of large Basic White piece then attach Fresh Freesia Designer Series Paper piece to left side of Basic White piece with Stampin’ Seal
  • Wrap the Fresh Freesia Ribbon around the Basic White layer and tie in a knot then attach the Basic White piece to the card front
  • Use largest Stitched Triangle Die and cut from 3-3/4” x 3-3/4” Fresh Freesia piece
  • Use second largest Stitched Triangle Die and cut from 3” x 3” Basic White piece
  • Stamp floral image in Memento Ink on Basic White Triangle, then stamp “fill-in” flowers with Fresh Freesia Ink and leaves in Soft Succulent Ink
  • Attach stamped Basic White Triangle on Fresh Freesia Triangle with Stampin’ Seal
  • Attach the triangle layers to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals

2021-2023 In Colors are a very big hit

Well, this just in from Stampin’ Up!, with just one week into the new annual catalog, the new 2021-2023 In Colors are a very big hit.  Ink pads, markers, Stampin’ Blends, card stock, Designer Series Paper and Accessories have been flying off the shelves at the distribution center in Utah!  

Today, I’ve got a fun card that uses each of the new In Colors and features a “Stacked Strip Embossing” technique that’s quite easy to do.

Color Combo

Measurements: 

  • Thick Basic White: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”
  • Basic Black: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Evening Evergreen: 3-3/4” x 1”
  • Soft Succulent: 3-3/4” x 1”
  • Polished Pink: 3-3/4” x 1”
  • Fresh Freesia: 3-3/4” x 1”
  • Pale Papaya: 3-3/4” x 1”

Instructions:

  • Fold the Thick Basic White piece on the score line for the card base then attach the Basic Black piece to the front of the card with Stampin’ Seal
  • Lay each strip of cardstock on base of Stamparatus with long sides touching (as shown on the card front) with Early Evergreen on the bottom, then Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, and Pale Papaya
  • Attach the Daisy Garden stamp to the Stamparatus plate and ink the entire stamp with VersaMark Ink.
  • Close the Stamparatus so the stamp touches the strips of In Color paper and press firmly.
  • Remove In Color papers from Stamparatus and sprinkle with each strip with White Embossing Powder and emboss with the Heat Tool.
  • Stamp “hello” from Biggest Wish” stamp set with VersaMark Ink on the right side of the Polished Pink strip and emboss with Black Embossing Powder.
  • Attach the embossed In Color strips to the card front starting with the Evening Evergreen strip on the bottom leaving 1/8” border of Basic Black cardstock below and on right and left side of the strip.
  • Next attach the Soft Succulent piece butting the bottom edge right up to the Evening Evergreen piece but still leaving the border on the right and left sides.  Continue with Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, and Pale Papaya.
