Techniques x Three

This card has a trifecta of techniques on it.  Can you see them?

Technique #1 Burnishing:
I used the Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series Paper with triangles.  It comes white and I rubbed Marine Mist ink over the paper with a sponge dauber.

Technique #2 Masking:
I stamped the birds from “World of Dreams” on Whisper White which I die cut with the Deco Label Framelits.  I then stuck a 1 1/4″ circle (which I punched out of a sticky note) over part of the stamped image and sponged over the entire card stock with Maria Mist Ink.  Once I removed the sticky note circle it revealed the white moon in the back ground.

Technique #3 Split Frame Stamping:
Once the stamping and masking was completed, I cut the image horizontally and then again vertically creating four pieces to the image.  I then attached these four pieces to another Deco Label piece of Basic Black with Dimensionals.

Basket of Fruit Punch Art

Here’s the final card we made  at Punch Art Creations class this past week.  Again, I was inspired by a card I saw on display at convention.

Here are the punched pieces before we assembled the card.

Basket:  So Saffron 2 /12″ circle punch cut in half and run
through the Boho Chic Embossing Folder
Oranges:  Tangerine Tango 1″ circles sponged around the edges in White ink
Leaves:  Wild Wasabi wings from the Build a Bird Punch sponged
in Wild Wasabi ink
Flowers:  Whisper White Itty Bitty Punch Pack

The sentiment is from Cottage Greetings and the trim on the table cloth is from Bohemian Borders.

Hot Diggity Dog

Wouldn’t this be a fun card for a kid or dog lover to receive? It’s another card we made at my Punch Art Creations Class earlier this week.

Here are the pieces before we assemble the dog:

Body & Head:  2 Oval Framelits in Vey Vanilla
Collar:  part of the 2 1/2″ circle in Bermuda Bay
Patch on face: Wide Oval in Soft Suede
Ears:  Wide Oval in Very Vanilla and Soft Suede
Muzzle:  1 1/4″ circle in Very Vanilla
Eyes: Small circles from Cupcake Builder Punch
Nose:  Apple from Build a Tree punch (cut off the stem)
Party Hat:  Hand cut from Cherry on Top Paper

We sponged around all the Very Vanilla and Soft Suede pieces before assembling them.  The oval for the body was attached to the corner of the card and the excess was trimmed off.  Next the patch on his face was attached to the head and the excess was trimmed off. The muzzle was attached with a dimensional and the excess trimmed off.  The eyes and nose were attached and the mouth was drawn on with a Black marker.  I tucked the collar behind the head and before attaching the head to the body.  Finally the ears are folded and tucked behind the head and the party hat is attached with dimensionals.
