Pretty Packages

Last week in our monthly team meeting we made these “Pretty Packages”
using the new In Color Designer Series Paper Stacks and the Flower Frenzy Die for the Big Shot.  Each of these containers were made using just a 1/4 sheet of Designer Series Paper, so it’s a fun and festive way to use up some of that DSP you’ve been hording.  These would make great ways to package up a little treat for co workers, your sweetie, family neighbors, your kids….

Here are some of our “Stampin’ Express” team working on their “Pretty Packages” in my Stampin’ Studio.  We talked a little business (recap of our convention fun), did a little stampin’ and ate a little chocolate.  We always have a great time when we get together and we’re always adding new members to our team.  If you think you’d like to come and see what it’s all about, let me know and I’ll extend a personal invitation to our next team meeting.

Here’s the card I mailed out to our newest team members who joined in the past 2 weeks.

Gold Soiree

I can’t even begin to tell you how pretty this new Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper is.  First of all it features one of my all time favorite go to color combinations because it has Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Pistachio Pudding.  Then let’s talk about the gold bling on some of the papers.  Yes, that’s right, the paper in this collection is shiny and smooth and some of the sheets have gold printed on them.  Then there is the pattern designs on the papers, from the lacey look featured on the top of my card, to the delicate floral design found on the second circle, to the stripes and dots on the last 2 circles of my card.  Some tiny little flowers topped off with the tiniest of pearls put the finishing touches on this card.

The whole gang is here!

The whole gang of Blendabilities markers that is!  It was hard, really, really hard but your patience has paid off.  Every Blendabilities Marker that is shown in the Annual Catalog is now available for you to order!  Can I get a Woo Hoo!?!
These are my favorite item in the catalog because there are so many things you can do with them.  In fact I am having my monthly “Tools of the Trade” class on August 19th featuring Blendabilities Markers.  At this class we’ll be making one card learning the coloring and blending technique and then I’ll be showing numerous unexpected ways to use the markers.

On todays card, featuring the Giggle Greetings stamp set, the cheese was colored in using Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.  Notice the highlighting and shading of the cheese?  It’s so easy to achieve.  I used various sized circle punches for the “cheese background”.
