Halloween Banner

I don’t know if you’ve paid much attention to the cute banner kits featured in the Holiday Catalog but they are adorable.  They’re pretty easy to look right past, but I really think you need to check them out.  I got the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit which has 18 pennants, Jute Twine for hanging, Alphabet and Designer Stencils and a Stampin’ Spritzer.  There are plenty of pennants for making quite a few banners, and the stencils can obviously be used over and over again.  For this Halloween Banner I also used the Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit.  This kit has pre-scored paper for making rosettes, glittered die-cut accents, 4 different ribbons, 2 different buttons and best of all…complete instructions for making this banner.  Super fun and super cool.  I’m going to get the Christmas Banner Kit too and do up some winter banners.

Double Flip Card

Here’s a card that does a double flip.  Instead of the normal 5 1/2″ x 6″ for the card, I cut this one 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ to make an extra flap to flip out on the inside of the card.  Here’s what the inside looks like.

“Hi” Flip Card

Can you believe it…a card with absolutely no stamping at all?  I know, it doesn’t seem right does it?  But this card is so cute, it doesn’t need it.  I used the Label Card Thinlits Die and cut the card stock 4 1/4″ x 6 to make it a shorter card than what the die is designed for.  The “Hi” is one of the Thinlits in the same package and then I used the flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a Candy Dot
to dot the “I”
