Halloween Candy Buffet

In my Stampin’ Studio where I hold all of my classes, I always have a Candy Buffet filled with all kinds of goodies to snack on during class.  I just finished decking it out for Halloween.  It was really easy because I used the Witched Brew DSP from the Holiday Catalog.
This is the piece of DSP I used for my labels.  I just cut it up and colored it in with markers.  Check out how cute the look up close with all the goodies in the canisters.

Oh So Elegant

I have become just smitten with the new color introduced in June called Smokey Slate.  This color is so soft, it makes beautiful fancy and feminine cards and it pairs well with so many other of the neutral colors that it’s also become a go to color for masculine cards.  For this card Smoky Slate works beautifully all on it’s own.  I used the Window Frames Framelits to cut the shape out of the front of the card stock and then I ran the front through the Beautiful Baroque Embossing folder for the texture.  The Lattice die piece was attached to the inside of the front flap of the card with Glue Dots and then a piece of Vellum Cardstock was layered over the inside front flap to cover the back of the lattice.  The vellum also gives a smoky look through the front of the card, so you can’t see the greeting from  the Love & Sympathy stamp set that is stamped on the inside of the card.  Did you notice I lined the inside of the envelope to coordinate with the card.  LOVE IT!

Fall Sampler Home Decor’

I love decorating for fall.  It makes things feel warm and homey.  The other night at my Mystery Class we all made this framed piece of Fall Décor’ featuring the Gently Falling stamp set.  The framed pieces has lots of texture with the Woodgrain embossing, the burlap ribbon and the wood button. There’s also paper piercing and sponging to give it more depth. This project was a big hit at the class.
