Bitten by the Stamp Bug

Yesterday, I posted about my Exclusive Extravaganza and told you I’d share the video they all helped me make.  I simply told them we were going to make a video because Stampin’ Up! was having a contest at the annual convention in Salt Lake City.  Of course they had no clue what was going to happen, but my stampers are awesome and everyone was game.
A little back ground information will be useful here:  I have always loved the Volkswagen Beetle.  It’s just so darned cute, but just not practical when you’ve got young kids to haul around.  I knew that someday I’d own one.  As my kids got older and started driving themselves, my need for a mini van diminished and my dream of owning a “Bug” came to fruition.  I bought a pretty red one and quickly  had eyelashes put on the headlights and my tag line and contact information put on the back. It was my “Stampin’ Bug” and I teased new stampers to watch out or they’d be bitten by the stamp bug…. this was the idea behind my video…check it out.

My stampers are the BEST and they were great sports in participating in the video!  Everyone got to choose their favorite stamp set as a “Thank you” from me for helping with the video.
For those of you who are interested, the winner of Stampin’ Up!s video contest will be announced at convention the middle of July.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

Exclusive Extravaganza

Every year I host an exclusive party for my hostesses and most supportive customers as a way to show my appreciation for all that they do in supporting me and my business.  This year my Exclusive Extravaganza was held in my Stampin’ Studio and it featured a fun summer theme using Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana.  I had a couple of make & takes featuring new product from the new Annual Catalog, yummy treats to snack on, many new card samples for them to enjoy and get inspired from.  I created new displays with the entire spectrum of Stampin’ Up! colors and had a candy buffet.  I even had everyone help me make a video for a contest Stampin’ Up! is having at convention.  It was a great day and I can’t wait until next years
Exclusive Extravaganza.
Healthy and some not so healthy snacks.  You know my motto,
“Enjoy life…Stamp something & eat chocolate!”

The new spectrum of Stampin’ Up! colors.  Love them!!
I made this frame by Casing (Copy and Share Everything) the cover of the new Annual Catalog.
Yummy color coordinated treats in my Candy Buffet.

Each year everyone receives a hand made gift from me.  This year it was these mint chocolate covered Oreo’s in the new “Tag a Bag Gift Boxes”.  These boxes are the greatest, there’s no adhesive need on these at all, you simply pop them together and fill them with something fun (in my case it was shredded card stock in colors to match my décor for the event, and the yummy treats that tasted like Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies).  Then all I did was slide the clear acetate sleeves on and add a belly band and a couple die cut flowers using “Blossom Party Originals Die”.
As you can see it was an awesome get together with some of my most favorite people in the world.  If you’d like to receive an invitation to the party next year contact me and I can fill you in on the requirements for being on the list.
Tomorrow I’ll post the video they helped me make and I’ll show you another goodie they all received.

The new In Color Baked Brown Sugar looks really nice with Midnight Muse.  One of the first stamp sets to go on my “must have” list this year was Wetlands.  This is such a simple set, so easy to use and perfect for any guy.
