Holiday Catalog Kick Off

Oh what fun we had last night at my Demonstrator Make & Take Event.  When each new catalog comes out, my sister Peggy Murwin (she’s a demonstrator in Lake Wonder Illinois) and I design 20 cards using tons of new stuff from the newest catalog.  This time we kicked off the Holiday Catalog in great style.  I invite my team of demonstrators as well as all demonstrators in the area, (some drive a long way to get here) and we stamp for about 3 hours and complete the 20 cards Peggy and I designed.  It’s a great chance to get to know other demonstrators and have fun.  Then I use these samples we’ve created for my Holiday Catalog Kick Off Party.

The new Holiday Catalog is absolutely
fantastic…I’m already hearing how much you love it!!  There are wonderful new stamp sets, designer
series papers, ribbons, Big Shot Framelits and embossing folders, scrapbook kits,
punches and oodles of accessories.  Come
join the fun and be one of the first people to see and play with brand new
products from the Holiday Catalog.
You’ll make some wonderful cards/projects with some of the great new
stuff.  You really don’t want to miss
this event!!

Class Fee:$15 or FREE with a $50 order

Tina’s rules for beautiful card making

Before we get to my rules, I need your help.  Remember last week when I said you can follow my blog via email?  If you signed up for my emails by the end of July, I’d draw a name to win the “Yippee Skippee!” stamp set.  Well from talking to many of you, I can know many of you logged in and signed up to receive an email from my blog every time I post something.  I was getting ready to gather the names for the drawing and now I see that I don’t have access to the names of those who have joined to “Follow” me, so here’s where I need your help.  If you have already joined my following via email or if you still want to, and be included in the drawing, pop me an email telling me you joined, and your name will be added to the drawing.  I will extend the sign up drawing deal to August 7th, so pop me an email and let me know. tinarappe@charter.net

So now, here’s my unwritten rule (I guess now it’s a written rule though) for making really nice looking cards. When I sit down to stamp I almost always combine 3 elements on my cards.
      1. Layers (if something doesn’t look quite right,
add a layer, it  highlights things.

2. Texture (embossing folders, paper piercing, torn or crumpled paper…)
3. Embellishment (button, brad, clay ribbon…)

So get out your supplies and give it a try then pop me an email and show me your creation.  I’ll pick a few and post them on my blog next week.
