Pretty in Purple

Here’s my final card in the series of Backyard Basics Bundles cards.  The flower is stamped in Stazon ink on Watercolor paper and water colored with markers and blender pen.  The embellishment on this card is the paper piercing I did around the edge of the circle.

Tip Toe Through the Tulips

I’m excited because today I’m headed up to Minneapolis for the weekend with a friend and her daughter to see my daughter who goes to college in the cities.  We will be competing in “The Color Run” a 5K (my first and maybe my last). I will try to get some pictures of the event, as this 5K is not like any other.

Anyway, I’d better share some stamping with you.  Here’s another card we made at my Big Shot class this week.  We used the Backyard Basics Framelits and the coordinating stamp set.  Using the Framelits to cut out the stamped image made this such a breeze.

Hello Honey “Bee”

I thought I’d share another card using the Backyard Basics Bundle (stamp set and Framelits).  The pattern in the Eastern Elegance DSP mimics the bee’s honeycomb. I love finding little treasures like that in the DSP.  I was running low on black Candy Dots for this card, so I used the Rhinestones and colored them black with a Sharpie.
