Fall Wreath

I am hosting a Midwest regional event for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in Madison this weekend along with Peggy Murwin (my sister) and Lisa Pretto.  I will be showcasing the Thankful Tablescapes Simply Created Kit featured in the Holiday Catalog.  The kit is designed to make place settings for a Thanksgiving dinner, but I thought it would be fun to see what else could be made with items from the kit.  Here is one of the projects I made using the kit.

I used a Styrofoam wreath for the base and cut 1/2″ x 3″ strips of paper from the kit.  I wrapped these strips around a pencil to curl each one.  Next I secured each curly strip to the Styrofoam with a straight pin.  The leaves that adorn the wreath are some of the die cuts found in the kit.  The bow is made from more paper in the kit and uses the Gift Bow Die.  This project was a little time consuming, but easy to make.
