The 80’s Ladies

I live in the same small town I grew up in and have maintained a close relationship with some very special women that I graduated high school with.  Here comes the confessional, we graduated in 1980 and we have dubbed ourselves “The 80’s Ladies”.

I treasure the friendships we have maintained throughout the years.  We get together for dinner about every 6-8 weeks to catch up on what’s new in each others lives.
We go through different stages in our lives… we’re getting engaged stage, getting married stage, having babies stage, sending our babies off to kindergarten stage and to college stage and where most of us are now…
the empty nester stage and so on…

Most recently some of “the ladies” have had the joy of their daughters’ getting engaged to some wonderful young men.  My friend Laura is deep into the planning of her daughter Jocelyn’s wedding.  Jocelyn and her fiancé Ben met at the Wisconsin State Fair back when they were in 4-H and are planning a
May 2014 wedding.

With Jocelyn’s vision of a State Fair themed wedding, she designed and Laura and I executed the Save the Date cards that recently went out.  Jocelyn has some wonderful ideas for the rest of her wedding décor and I’m excited to help out where I can with that.
