Hexagon Hive user tips

This is a card we made at this month’s club and I thought I’d share some tips for using the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die.  If you are cutting designer paper thinlit you can shimmy the point of your piercing tool under an edge and wiggle the DSP loose, but if you are cutting card stock will definitely want to use waxed paper to help get the card stock out of the die.  So the “sandwich” you build on your Big Shot is from bottom to top: Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pad, waxed paper, card stock, Hexagon Hive Thinlit, and another Standard Cutting Pad.  The DSP you see in this card is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Retro Fresh DSP that is attached to the card behind the Hexagon Hive card stock piece.
