As promised, I’ve got 5 different cards to show you using the work of art stamp set. Each card also features a monochromatic color scheme featuring one of the new In Colors with a hombre technique.
Hombre is when you use varying shades of the same color, which is super easy to do when stamping as there’s no color matching or comparison to have to worry about.
On the butterfly card I inked up the zigzag image from Work of Art in Blackberry Bliss and stamped in on the lower edge of the card stock. Then I repeated the step without reinking the stamp so that the same color just got lighter and lighter…and….Voila’ Hombre!
This card features the “splotch” as the image using the hombre technique.
Hello Honey is doing the work on the hombre in this card as each “brush stroke” from the Work of Art stamp set gets lighter and lighter.
Notice the striped pattern along the top edge of this Mossy Meadow card? This was done by using the “Long skinny line” image from the stamp set. I just inked up one end of the stamped it four times in a row before reinking.
And finally, Tangelo Twist polka dots stamped four times without reinking make this basic card very festive.
If you enjoyed seeing a number of samples from the “Work of Art” stamp set and featuring the Hombre Technique, I’d love for you to leave me a comment!
