3-D Star Card

I held my Tools of the Trade class last night featuring the Stars Framelits.  Oh, do I love these Framelits!  For this card I CASED (which means Copy And Share Everything) the design from page 135 of the Stampin’ Up! catalog.  I cut two of the largest stars from Bermuda Bay card stock and the second and third largest star from Confetti Creations Designer Series Paper and the third largest star from Silver Glimmer Paper.

Next I scored 1 1/4″ from the top point of the star on only one of the Bermuda Bay pieces.  I attached this piece to the back of the front piece, with Fast Fuse Adhesive, so now the card will open and close.
For the Confetti DSP star I scored from each outside peak and valley to each inside peak and valley and then I folded on score lines so that each star tip was a “mountain” fold and each star dip was a “valley” fold.

I used My Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities Marker to color the Silver Glimmer Paper, so now I can have glimmer paper in any color I want.  I attached the glimmer paper to the front of the card with our Multipurpose Glue (also known as Green Glue.) I ran a thin layer of green glue along the edges of the folded DSP star and positioned this over the glimmer star and held it in place for a few seconds.
I used the “Big News” stamp set for the outside and inside of the card.

Check back each day this week when I’ll feature more cards made with the Star Framelits.
