Ba-da-BLING!!!

Can we say Bling?  On Saturday, we had our team Christmas Party where among other things, we had a hand made Christmas present gift exchange.  This super shiny and sparkly and blinged out wreath was the gift I made for the exchange.  It looks more complicated than it is, let me show you.

First I cut out various sized stars using the Stars Framelits and our Gold Soiree DSP, Gold Foil Paper, Gold Glimmer Paper and Whisper White card stock.  Next I scored from one tip of the star down to the notch of the star on each of the five sides.

The next step was to fold on all of the score lines to make the stars 3-dimentional.  I continued this process for all of the stars (I used 33 for the wreath)

For the base of the wreath, I used the thick cardboard that comes in the Gold Foil Paper packages.  I drew a large circle wit a smaller one inside and cut them out.  Next I rubbed Gold Metallic Ink all over the cardboard.  I used a hot glue gun to attach all he stars to the wreath and then embellished it with vintage buttons, Gold 1/8 ribbon, and Gold Satin ribbon.  The banner is Whisper White card stock with Gold Foil “Joy” from the Wonderful Wreath Framelit.

I’ll be sharing more details from our party and more of the amazing gifts my talented team members created for our gift exchange over the next week…you will be amazed, and who knows, it may spark some creativity in you.
