Project 7
If you’ve been following along the past week, you’ve been seeing all the fun and projects we did this year at Stampin’ Sisters retreat. One thing that we look for is ways to get someone to fall in love with a product. For this project group we focused on the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper. Everyone received a roll of the Whisper White Seam Binding Ribbon to take home.
With a variety of stamp sets and styles this project group got them to take notice of this stunning designer paper.
The first card shows off both sides of the designer paper by cutting into the side about 1 1/2″ and folding those edges back. The sentiment comes from the Birthday Blooms stamp set.
Once again the sentiment is from Birthday Blooms and the flowers, which add a nice contrast of depth, were made with the Big Shot and the Botanical Builders Thinlits and embellished with the White Perfect Accents.
Isn’t it amazing how the the first 2 cards using the Birthday Bouquet DSP had a vintage feel to them and now from the same package of paper comes this whimsical card. The confetti print inspired me to make a fun birthday card so the Balloon Celebration stamp set and the coordinating Balloon Bouquet Punch were an easy choice.
This card is all about the ice cream. I am so in love with the sweetness of the ice cream cones in the designer paper and the fact that the Sprinkle of Life stamp set has an ice cream cone makes it perfect to use them together. Not to mention the fact that the Tree Builder Punch punches out the ice cream, love it! The adorable sentiment comes from the Apple of My Eye stamp set.
The soft and subtle flower image from Birthday Blooms was colored directly on the rubber with the Mossy Meadow and Watermelon Wonder In Color Stampin’ Write Markers. Once the image was stamped, we took a blender pen and colored it over the stamped image which gave the very light shades of these two otherwise vivid colors.
The final card in this project group features every single print in the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper. With the use of the 1″ Square Punch we were able to quickly get all 12 pieces of DSP the exact same size. Once these squares were attached to the Blushing Bride card stock we ran it through the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder with the Big Shot. This gave a quilted appearance to the card. A simple sentiment from Cottage Greetings stamp set and flowers punched from the Pansy Flower Punch and the Petite Petals Punch finished the card off in a snap.
