I sure hope you’re having a great Labor Day Weekend, it’s supposed to be beautiful weather here in Wisconsin. We”ll be spending the weekend working on the remodel of our house. It’s been almost 2 months since we started and it’s coming along nicely, I just wish it was done! Since we’re doing 95% of the work our selves it’s taking longer than if we had hired someone. No worries, though it’s looking beautiful and we can’t wait to sit back and enjoy it. But there’s always a few minutes for stamping, in fact it’s time for a simple card for Make it Simple Saturday and we’re doing it with the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set.
Cookie Cutter Halloween
Today’s Color Palette
Today’s color palette comes directly from the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper. Start out with a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card base scored in half. Next layer a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Night of Navy and Very Vanilla cut 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″. The scarecrow from Cookie Cutter Halloween was stamped in Delightful Dijon and colored in with a blender pen and Mint Macron and Delightful Dijon ink. The sentiment stamped in Night of Navy ink comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. The finish touch is a piece of the designer paper cut 7/8″ x 3 7/8″ which is layered on a 1″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Night of Navy card stock. Don’t forget to wrap a piece of the Mint Macron ribbon from the 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack around the layer and tie in a bow. There you have it… a nice simple card for fall that’s perfect to send for so many reasons.
