I don’t know how much you’ve really studied the prints in the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper, but there is a real variety of stunning prints. For today’s card we’re making a monochromatic card using the Petals & Paisleys Suite. The suite features the Paisleys & Posies stamp set, the Paisley Framelits Dies, the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Pretty Paisleys Textured Embossing Folder. We’re using all but the embossing folder today.
Today’s Color Palette
Ready set Cut
Rich Razzleberry: 1″ x 4 1/4″ score at 5 1/2 for card base and scrap for Scallop Square Framelit
Very Vanilla: 3 3/4″ x 4″ for bottom layer, 3 3/4″ x 2 1/8″ for layer under DSP, 2″ x 2″ for flower layer
Sweet Sugarplum: scrap for flower
DSP from Petals & Paisleys: 3 3/4″ x 2″
Rich Razzleberry Ribbon: 10″
This card is monochromatic because Sweet Sugarplum is actually a lighter version of Rich Razzleberry, that’s why they look so great together. If you notice the designer paper has both Sweet Sugar Plum and Rich Razzleberry in it, so I just stuck with those colors as I stamped the flower from Paisleys & Petals and die cut it with the Paisley Framelits and layered it on the piece of Very Vanilla. The Layered Square Framelits made it easy to “frame up” the focal point. I added the Razzleberry Ribbon from the 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack which comes in a package of two other rolls of ribbon (Delightful Dijon and Mint Macaron). The sweet sentiment comes from the Tin of Cards stamp set which I stamped in Sweet Sugar Plum.
