Today I want to share with you the beautiful new In Color called Berry Burst. It’s a rosey pink color that falls between Melon Mambo and Rose Red and I can tell already that it will certainly be one of my go to colors for a while. I’ve used Berry Burst for the card base, the ribbon embellishment, the sentiment and the flowers (which were stamped off once to reveal a lighter tone of the same color).
Let’s Take a Closer Look
I wanted some texture on my card so, before doing any stamping, I ran the piece of Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder adding texture to just the lower 1-1/2″ of the cardstock. After I stamped the flower stems from Wild About Flowers in Pear Pizzazz I added the flowers and then the sentiment from Layering Love in Berry Burst Ink. Just like the card I shared HERE yesterday which used the new Lemon Lime Twist 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon, I’ve used the same ribbon in Berry Burst and placed it just above the textured area. You can see the delicate texture of the ribbon in the photo below.
