Suite Escape: Painted Autumn

Last night I held my monthly Suite Escape, which is like a mini mid week retreat.  I pick a product suite from the catalog, this month it’s the Painted Autumn Suite, I create 4 projects and provide a home made sweet treat, and I offer specials that evening.  Here’s this month’s home made treat!  I covered Oreo cookies with colored chocolate in a mold to make a sunflower to match on of the cards we made at class.

I placed each cookie in a 3″ x 6″ Gusseted Cellophane Bag and tied it up with Old Olive 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon.  Next I stamped the sunflower image from Painted Harvest in So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede and punched the image out with the Starburst Punch.  I added a couple leaves that were punched out with the Leaf Punch and a banner stamped with a sentiment from the Painted Harvest stamp set.  (The Painted Harvest stamp set and Leaf Punch are sold separately or combined in a bundle for a 10% savings.)

Here’s the coordinating card.  I used the same sun flower images on this card and added a stamped leaf before layering it on a mat of Early Espresso.  Isn’t the leaf print paper gorgeous?  It’s part of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper, which is part of the whole Painted Autumn Suite of products.  I finished the card off with a bow tied up with the Old Olive 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon.  I’ve got more great cards featuring the Painted Harvest Suite coming up the next three days so be sure to come on back!

  1. That cookie mold is perfect to go with this stamp set! May I ask who is the manufacturer? Love it!
