Here’s another swap card I made for the stampin’ and paper crafting cruise I’m on this week. I like to think outside the box at times, so I thought the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper would be a starting point for this birthday card.
I started with a base of Whisper White Thick cardstock for the base, then added a layer of the new Champagne Foil Sheets followed by another layer of Whisper White with a piece of the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP on the lower edge, oh, this stuff is pretty. I added a strip of the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape. The sentiment, which was stamped on an oval which was cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits, comes from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and was heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder, which coordinates so well with the designer paper. I cut out a scalloped oval from Copper Foil Sheet with the Layering Ovals and attached it to the card behind the sentiment. The finishing touch is the Champagne dots which I cut out with one of the framelits from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. It makes them look like little champagne brads when you attach them with Mini Glue Dots.
