Every time demonstrators gather together something happens, and that something happens to be swapping cards. I received this beautiful card at our demonstrator event last month. This card uses the Christmas Happiness stamp set which is fantastic with the pine boughs and pine cones. There are even little Christmas lights and mistletoe and bows that can be added as well as some great sentiments.
There was no name attached to this card, so I don’t remember who made it, but I think it’s stunning. Let me tell you….
3 things I love about this card
- I love the absolute simplicity of the card. No fuss, no fancy folds, just a few layers of paper and a few colors of ink.
- I love the sponging of Crumb Cake ink around the edges of the stamped piece as adds depth and it allows your eye to be drawn to the lighter part of the image, where the sentiment is perfectly placed.
- I love the sparkle and shine. You may not be able to see it well in the photo, but the word “peace” (which comes from the Christmas Quilt stamp set) was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder. After stamping the pine cone outlines in Early Espresso and stamping the filled in image with Crumb Cake, Wink of Stella was painted on the pine cones to make them shimmer…oh, so pretty.
