How about a card that serves as a great way to give a Halloween Treat as well? That’s exactly what today’s card is all about. I used the Spooky Night Suite with the Spooky Cat stamp set, the Cat Punch, the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper, and the Vintage Crochet Trim to create this box in a card.
Measurements for the card
The card base is a normal 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″. With the card folded in half I cut 1″ from the right side of the card down 1-5/8″. I did the same thing at 2-5/8″ and down 1-5/8″. Then I cut horizontally to join those two cuts and remove the piece for the box to fit into. From there I decorated the card front with Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (black print is 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ and the Pumpkin Pie print is 2-5/8″ x 1-5/8″ and 3/4″ x 1-5/8″.
Measurements for the Box
Basic Black for the box base is 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ scored on all 4 sides at 1-1/2″
Pumpkin Pie for the box lid is 2″ x 2″ scored at 1/2″ on all 4 sides.
For both the box and the lid you’ll snip at the corners to the score line and fold on all score lines. Then all that’s left to assemble the box is to ad some adhesive ( I prefer Fast Fuse) to the corners and fold them in securing the box and the lid. Once the box is filled with a Halloween Treat the box gets tied up with the Vintage Crochet trim and a banner saying Happy Halloween is added.
