Are you like me in that you have a hard time tossing out little scrap pieces of Designer Series paper? They’re so pretty and I just know if I toss them I’m gonna need just a small piece for something. Well, this time I made a plan and I purposefully created a card that uses small strips of the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper Stack. I paired it with the “Merry & Bright” sentiment from the Festive Phrases stamp set and I’ve got an adorable card.
Today’s Color Palette
Measurements
⦁ Garden Green: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
⦁ Whisper White: 5-1/4″ x 4″ and 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″
⦁ So Saffron: 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″
⦁ Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper Stack: five different prints, cut each 15/16″ x 3-3/4″
⦁ Quilted Christmas 1/4″ Ribbon: 6″
Instructions:
⦁ Attach Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper pieces to 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock with Snail.
⦁ Attach So Saffron card stock to the previous layers with Snail
⦁ Wrap the Quilted Christmas Ribbon over the previous layers and secure it on the back side with Mini Glue Dots.
⦁ Using the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits cut out the second from the larges square.
⦁ Use the Stampin’ Write Markers to color directly on the stamp coloring “Merry &” in Real Red, “Bright and the light strings” in Garden Green and the “lights” in Crushed Curry. Moisten the marker ink on the stamp by breathing heavily with your mouth and stamp this on the Stitched Shapes square.
⦁ Color over the lights with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
⦁ Attach sentiment with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
⦁ Add a medium sized Rhinestone Basic Jewel to “dot the I” in the word Bright.
I don’t normally like strip-type cards, but this card is lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Parker. I’m happy to hear that you liked something that normally isn’t your style.
