I’ve really been enjoying the soon to retire Flying Home stamp set. The images are fun and playful and good for many different occasions.
Color Palette
You know how much I love the Night of Navy and Whisper White color combination. I’ve also added a bit of Crumb Cake and Old Olive. There’s a lot of texture on this card; from the Petal Burst Embossing Folder to the layers of cardstock and the gorgeous Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon.
This card features a unique fold, where the front panel with the oval open to the right, then the next layer opens to the left. The pretty printed paper is the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits for the image and layered it on an oval cut out with the Layering Ovals Framelits. The image is stamped in Memento Ink and colored in with the Stampin’ Blends Markers.
Supply List
I really like the way your card works. The texture of the front flap adds so much. Wondering how you got your perfect point on the flap. Also, did you glue an extra piece for the flap? Got any dimensions or tips?
Hi Susan,
Thank you so much. It’s a pretty easy card to make. I’ll be posting a video with measurements and directions one day next week, so watch for that.
I’m glad to hear that….want to know all the measurements…..this is an interesting and cute card.
The video will be the same card design but different paper and stamp set, but all measurements will be there for you.
This card is so creative and really pretty! I love the colors you used, and the pointed fold is so unique. I’m looking forward to your video next week!
So happy to hear that you like this card Laurie. Stay tuned for the video on this fold later this week.
