Can I just say how much I like this card? I love the neutral tones and simplicity of the layout. It features the Heartland stamp set which is NOT retiring! YAY! This is one of those stamp sets that you can use over and over again and not tire of it.

I’ve got a few little tips for recreating this card. To get the grain on the Crumb Cake piece to really show up, I ran it through the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder than rubbed the Soft Suede Ink Pad directly on the card stock. For the soft oval that the barn is stamped on, I used a scrap piece of card stock and cut an oval out of it using the Layering Ovals Framelits to create a mask. I didn’t use the oval but rather the piece it was cut from. I stamped the barn on the Very Vanilla cardstock in Early Espresso ink. Next I laid the “mask” over the barn so that the barn was visible through the oval opening in the mask. Using Crumb Cake ink and a Sponge Dauber, I rubbed ink over the barn through the oval. This results in a very soft oval image.
