2nd Annual Stampin’ Dave Event

Last August, after I had spinal fusion and wasn’t able to host an event I had scheduled, my Husband Dave said he’s host the class for me so that it didn’t have to be cancelled and no one was disappointed.  That class was a big hit, and the request was that we make this an annual event.  And that, ladies and gentlemen is how the Stampin’ Dave Event was born.  Yesterday, my mom had to have knee replacement surgery and since I was spending the day with her at the hospital, we thought this was the perfect opportunity for Dave’s class to take place.

I designed the cards for this class using the Color Your Season products ( Blended Season stamp set, Stitched Seasons Framelits and the new assortment of Watercolor Pencils). Here’s Dave showing one of the cards (notice his lovely Stampin’ Up! apron).  You can scroll down further to see the card up close and to get details.

Here he is teaching the details of how this card is made.

Not only did Dave serve as Stamp Class  Host Extraordinaire, but he also served up some wine and a mean chocolate martini and margarita’s!  As you can see, he is a huge help and supporter of my business, and I appreciate him so much!

The classroom was filled with happy stampers.  By the was my mom’s surgery went well.

This is the first card Dave was showcasing at his class.  We stamped the leaves image from the Blended Seasons stamp set in Highland Heather ink on Highland Heather cardstock, then cut out the center using the Stitched Seasons Framelits.  The Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper was attached to the backside of the opening  before layering it on a piece of  Gorgeous Grape and then on the Whisper White cardstock.

Look at the gorgeous faux stitching outlining the diecut opening.  That’s all done in one swift motion with these exceptional Framelits.  I’ll be showcasing the other cards from class over the next few days, so be sure to come on back.
