Copper Shimmer Paint Doily

Do you have the collection of Shimmer Paints yet?  If you do, you already know how amazing they are…if you don’t, what are you waiting for?  I’ve been playing around with them a lot lately and I love them.

I wanted to pair the Copper Shimmer Paint with a fall theme, so I went with the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper and did a little fussy cutting on the pumpkins.  I layered these on a 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock that I ran through the Subtle Embossing Folder.  This was layered on a 4″ x 4″ piece of Early Espresso, which was then layered on a Cajun Craze card base which measures 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ then folded in half.  I cut out a scallop circle from the Layering Circle Framelits and attached this to the top of the card.

Check out the copper shimmer doily I created with the Copper Shimmer Paint.  These doilies come shimmery white on one side and plain white on the other.  I flipped the doily to the plain white side and got ready to shimmer it up.  When you use the Shimmer Paints, you want to make sure you shake it up good before each use.  There’s a little ball inside that will mix it up when you shake it.  The shaking also gets paint on the inside of the lid, which works perfect to dip a sponge dauber into the lid to pick up the paint.  I then pounced the dauber on the doily to get good coverage over without tearing the delicate doily.  Isn’t it pretty?  The final touch was the Cajun Craze banner I stamped the sentiment from the Cauldron Bubble stamp set on.  This was popped up with dimensionals.
