Its fun to create when we have such amazing products that coordinate so well, like the Butterfly Gala stamp set, the Butterfly Duet Punch and the Sale-a-bration Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Papers. For project 5 at our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat, we used all these products to create this pretty card set
For this first card, we kept it simple in black & white. We used one of the dies from the Rose Trellis Thinlits to accentuate the focal point of the popped up butterfly which was punched from the Botanical Butterfly DSP with the Butterfly Duet Punch.
Ffor this second card we added a bit of color by punching a smaller butterfly from the DSP with the same punch (the punch cuts out a large and small butterfly.
I am so in love with the Black & White Gingham print in the Botanical Butterfly DSP. It makes such an understated yet stunning background. This time we did a bit of fussy cutting to cut this gorgeous butterfly from the DSP.
Now we’re bringing in the color with another print from the Botanical Butterfly DSP. We also stamped the large and small butterfly from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and colored them with Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends and punched them out with the Butterfly Duet Punch.
What’s Black & White with a pop of purple? well…it’s card 5 in this set of coordinating cards. We’ve added another print from the DSP and also stamped and punched the butterflies and colored them in with Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.
The sixth and final card in this set started out as two black and white printed pieces of the Botanical Butterfly DSP. We added the color with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends over the black & white gingham print and coloring in the white butterflies in the background print.
The Butterfly Duet Punch has been so popular, it way oversold any other punch Stampin’ Up! has ever had. Because of the popularity, the punch is not available to be ordered…but sometime around April 1st it will be back in stock, so you can go crazy and get it them if you don’t already own it. This is a great example of “if you really like it , order it now before it sells out”.
Tomorrow we’re onto Project 6 from our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat, so be sure to come on back then for another fabulous project.
