2021 marks our 15th year of hosting our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat and thanks to the Covid pandemic, we had to make some changes to this year’s event, so we went virtual and held the event on Zoom.
Last weekend Peggy and I got together and packages up 98 boxes to go to all of the retreat participants and hauled the boxes to the post office for delivery.
Each year we decide on a theme for retreat and we had decided on an ice cream theme. Generally we’ll decorate the hotel ballroom, where we hold the event, to coincide with the theme, but since we weren’t meeting in person we decided to make their “Goodie Boxes” extra special and wrapped the contents of the box with confetti tissue paper and our custom made Stampin’ Sisters Label. I bet you’re wondering what they got in their boxes, right?!
Well, to begin with they found all 8 of the class projects cut and packages for them along with printed tutorials with photos for each project.
They also received all of the products shown here from left to right starting in the front row:
Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Combo, Opal Rounds, Matte Black Dots, In Color Enamel Dots, Sliver Edge Metallic Ribbon, Misty Moonlight Ribbon, Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon. Second Row: Mini Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Tear & Tape. Third Berry Blessing stamp set, Many Messages stamp set, Messages Dies, Blending Brushes. Back Row: Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper and an 8″ x 10″ shadow box frame for one of the projects.
Each year we recognize out new retreat attendees, which we call our “Newbies”. This year all 23 of the Newbies found and ice cream themed sucker.
We recognized the 35 of our Stampin’ Sisters team members that participated in the event with a decorated package of Sponge Daubers.
We allow participants to make monthly payments for retreat, or if the opt to pay the entire fee in one payment when the register, we offer a small token of our appreciation. this years gift was a decorated package of Square Doilies.
Everyone received a Popsicle Box filled with a Reese’s Peanut Better Cup because stamping and chocolate go hand in hand, right?!
I made ice cream themed cookies which were tucked inside one of our Mini Paper Pumpkin Box’s which was also decorated with an ice cream theme using products from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper and the Sweet Ice cream stamp set.
Tucked in the very bottom of their box was this gift card holder…
…which held a Culver’s Gift Certificate so they could get some ice cream of course!
I will be sharing each of the 8 class projects each day this week, so be sure to come back so you don’t miss anything.
