I don’t think it’s too early to share Halloween cards is it? I mean we’ve got to start creating them so we can send them out in October, right? I decided to create a fun slimline Halloween card using the products from the Cute Halloween Suite, so let’s take a closer look.
I used the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper; orange & black stripes on the bottom and the candy on the top. The candy print comes black and white only, but I used Stampin’ Blends to add a pop of color and fun to the print. I also used I Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend to color the Black & White Gingham Ribbon before tying it in a bow and attaching to the layers. The sentiment, from the Well Defined stamp set is actually stamped twice on the Basic White cardstock. Once with the entire image and again below it by omitting everything but the “definition”. This allowed me to place the pumpkin directly above the definition. The Pumpkin, witches hat and the spider are all from the Clever Cats stamp set and were fussy cut, then popped up with Dimensionals. A few of the Cute Star Adhesive Backed Sequins finish off the front of the card.
For the inside of the card, I stamped the cat and the sentiment, then added a 1/4″ strip of the striped print, so it looks like the cat is sitting on a striped ledge.
