It’s time to really start playing with some of the new product coming your way next week on January 4th. This card features products from the Heart & Home Suite on page59 of the Spring Mini Catalog. The product looks pretty in the catalog, but it’s so much better in person!
I started with the Heart & Home Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. The package contains 10 of the Misty Moonlight striped cards which measure 6-1/6″ x 4-1/4″ and has 10 coordinating envelopes. There are also 10 note cards that measure 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. They have a white Shiplap wood print on the front and the envelopes are Cinnamon Cider with a pretty bee print lining.
Supplies:
- Stamp Set: Blessings of Home (157930)
- Card Stock – Basic White (159276); Misty Moonlight (153081)
- Stamp Pads – Memento Ink (132708); Gray Granite (147118); Misty Moonlight (153118); Soft Succulent (155778)
- Miscellaneous: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653); Flowers of Home Dies (157938)); Stitched Rectangles Dies (151820); Scalloped Contours Dies (155560); Heart & Home Designer Series Paper (157928); Heart & Home Memories & More Cards & Envelopes (157958); Blender Pen (102845); Brushed Brass Butterflies (157670); Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)
Measurements:
- Basic White: 4” x 2-1/2”
- Misty Moonlight: 4-2/4” x 3-1/2”
- Heart & Home Designer Series Paper: (Woodgrain print) 4” x 2-3/4”
Instructions:
Stamp the sentiment on the woodgrain print as shown by OMMITTING the words “For Love”. You can omit the words by placing a piece of tape over the words you want omitted, then ink up the stamp and then peel the tape off before you stamp. You could also use a Basic Black Marker and color directly on the stamp only the words you want to stamp.
- Attach the stamped piece to the center of the blue striped Heart & Home Memories & More Card
- Cut a scalloped rectangle from the Misty Moonlight piece using the second largest scalloped die from the Scalloped Contours Dies.
- Use the 5th largest of the Stitched Rectangles Dies positioned on the inside of the Misty Moonlight Scalloped Rectangle and die-cut it, making a “frame”
- Attach the “frame” to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Stamp small flower image on Basic White with Memento Ink and color it in by dipping Blender Pens in the ink and coloring like a marker. Color 2 larger flowers with Gray Granite, small flowers with Misty Moonlight and leaves and stems with Soft Succulent
- Once the image is colored in, then die-cut it, using the coordinating Flowers of Home Die, then attach it to the card with Dimensionals.
- Finish the card off by adding three of the Brushed Brass Butterflies and tuck the card into the coordinating envelope.
