Okay, how can you not smile when you see this image from the Festive Phrases stamp set of the Christmas elf hiding behind the Happy Holidays sign? Too cute, right?!
This card is super simple, yet it has a “Fun Fold” or at the very least a unique fold. The front panel of the card is only half the normal width, so you can see the white inside of the card when the card is closed. I embossed that front panel with the Holly Embossing Folder which is a great way to add texture and visual interest. The elf is stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink which is what you need to use to make sure the black doesn’t “bleed into the marker ink. Once I finished coloring in the elf with Powder Pink, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers, I layered the Whisper White cardstock on a piece of Real Red. The final step, which is the trickiest, is to make sure you only put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the left half of the matted layers, because if you put them on both sides of the back, you won’t be able to open your card!
