Worlds Easiest Pop Up card

I think the prints in the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper is so pretty.  8 different prints on 4 sheets of 12″ x 12″ paper.  For today’s card I’m featuring two of the prints and pairing them with Early Espresso and Poppy Parade.  The sentiment comes from the Beauty Abounds stamp set which is awesome because it has sentiments for the outside of the card as well as the inside.

So first of all let me point out the sentiment on the inside that coordinates with the front of the card.  Now let’s talk about the pop-up feature.  It is SO EASY!  First I inked up the flower image from the Painted Seasons stamp set with Poppy Parade ink and stamped it on a piece of Whisper White cardstock 4 times without reinking it.  If you notice, each of the four flower is a different shade of Poppy Parade.  Next I cut the flowers out with the Four Seasons Framelits.

The inside of the card is Whisper White that measures 8″ x 5-1/4″ folded in half.  This is attached to the Early Espresso card base.  Now for the magic….I cut a strip of the Designer Series paper to measure 1″ x 8″and folded it in half and in half again.  Next I unfolded it and refolded it like a”W” and applies Snail Adhesive to the outside flaps.  Now when the card opens the center pops out.  I attached one flower to each section of the folded strip and my card is done.

I used a Petal Pink card base and embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with the Country Floral Embossing Folder.  It has such depth and visual interest all that was needed was a focal point.  I used the sentiment from the Humming Along stamp set and punched it out with the Story Label Punch.  I piece of Petal Pink Metallic Ribbon and Very Vanilla Lace Trim add a bit of  an antique flair. I finished the card with a few of the Frosted Flower Embellishments.  If you order the supplies to make the card, it totals enough to get the Country Floral Embossing Folder for free, but only until March 31st when Sale-a-bration ends.

Color Combo

I knew I wanted to use the whimsical mushroom print from the Painted Seasons DSP, so I paired it with Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody and little bits of Lemon Lime Twist  and Shaded Spruce. I used the Climbing Vine Embossing Folder to add texture to card by embossing the right side of the Whisper White cardstock then added the DSP to the left side.  The sentiment is from the All Adorned stamp set (which is a free Sale-a-bration choice with a $50 order).  I then punched it out with the Story Label Punch.To get the layered look behind the sentiment, I used the Story Label Punch to cut a Mango Melody and a Pumpkin Pie label.  I then cut each of these labels in half and attached them to the back of the sentiment.  At this point it didn’t look complete so I added some of the Braided Linen Trim because I love the natural look of it.  Finally, I finished it off with a few leaf sprigs that I stamped and then die cut using the Four Seasons framelits.
