Good Tidings of Great Joy

I’m keeping it simple today with this card featuring the Good Tidings stamp set.

I’ve gone with the traditional Christmas Color Palette: Real Red and Garden Green and added some of the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper for the background interest.  I stamped the sentiment from the Good Tidings stamp set directly on the DSP and added a couple banners from the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper Stack.  The finishing touch is the Stitched Felt Embellishment which I attached with Mini Glue Dots, and just like that, this card is done!  Nearly all of the products used on this card are retiring, so don’t miss out on your chance to get them before they’re gone!

All Hearts Come Home for Christmas

We’re running out of days before Christmas and I still have a few cards to share with you.

I’ve shared before my Rule of Three; that is that Layer, Texture and Embellishments.  With these three elements on a card, you really can’t go wrong.  Let’s take a look at this simple card that features my Rule of Three.

  1. Layers: Cardstock in Whisper White, Real Red and Whisper White
  2. Texture: Winter Wonder Embossing Folder
  3. Embellishments: Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Silver Foil Snowflake from the Seasonal Tags Framelits dies, and tiny paper hearts punched out using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.

Merry Christmas from the Seasonal Chums

I love the name of this stamp set, it’s called Seasonal Chums and it has such adorable images in it that show the front and back of the animal (or snowman, or pumpkin) and it’s a perfect way to say Merry Christmas.  The set is designed to make tags that open with a front and back to them, but I like to cut them apart so that the front and back are separate.

For this card I punched a circle in a piece of Real Red cardstock then ran it through the Holly Embossing Folder and attached a piece of the Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper along the lower edge.  The reindeer was stamped in Memento Ink then colored in with Stampin’ Blends Markers and cut out with the coordinating Seasonal Tags Framelits.

I took the back side of the image and attached it to the inside of the card.  I love it, as it’s an unexpected surprise.  Don’t wait too long to order these items because nearly all of them are on the Retired List  and as of December 31st, they’ll be gone forever.
