The Magic of Christmas…

Merry Christmas friends!

Chalk Board Art, Stampin' Studio

I hope you take time today to reflect on the true meaning of the holiday.  I wanted to share a project I made for a childhood friend of mine.  Every year, my friend Laura sends a family Christmas newsletter with her Christmas card and the first line of the newsletter always starts out the same…

The magic of Christmas never ends and it’s greatest gifts are family & friends!

Laura commissioned me to create this chalkboard framed art for her to hang in her entry way.  It was a labor of love and she was thrilled when I brought it over to her house two weeks ago.  I love it as the sentiment really does express one of the aspects of this special holiday.

Merry Christmas my friends!

Here Comes Santa Clause!

Happy Christmas Eve! I hope that Santa has you on the “Nice” list this year and that he brings some everything you wish for.

Stampin' Up! hearts Come Home stamp set, Card Front Builder Thinlits, Stampin' Studio

Today’s card is one of my favorite Christmas I made this year.  I love the Night of navy and Whisper White color combination as well as all of the texture and shimmer on the card.  Santa and his sleigh are from the Hearts Come Home stamp set, while the sentiment is from the Star of Light stamp set.  The card features a unique “Z-Fold” which makes it all the more special.

Merry Christmas

Today I’ve got a more contemporary color palette for this Christmas card.  It features Wild Wasabi and Berry Burst.

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest stamp set, Stampin' Studio

I used the Painted Harvest stamp set from the Occasions catalog.  The stamp set is actually sunflowers, but when you play around with different colors and use your imagination, the sunflower easily turns into a Christmas wreath with holly berries.  I added a bow made with the Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding and added the sentiment from the Merry Mistletoe stamp set.
