Playing in the Rain – Oh Happy Day!

I found this card, I had made a while ago, on my desk under a bunch of papers and thought I’d share it with you today because it’s so adorable!  This card features the Playing in the Rain stamp set which fortunately is making it’s way from the Spring Mini Catalog into the new Annual Catalog which will go live on May 2nd!

Color Combo

The Designer Series Paper used on the card was from the Sale-a-bration offering earlier this year and unfortunately is no longer available, but it would be simple to replace this 3″ x 3″ print with another print from any other Designer Series Paper.  The turtle from Playing in the Rain was stamped with Memento Ink on Basic White and die-cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.  It was colored using Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.  The card was embellished with the Fun Flowers Resin Shapes.

Celebrate with Share a Milkshake

Today’s card is all about celebrating, and what better way to do that than a rainbow of ice cream!  I used the Share a Milkshake Bundle which includes the stamp set and coordinating dies to build this massive treat!

Color Combo

Measurements:

Thick Basic White: 4-1/4” x 11” scored at 5-1/2” for card base.

Basic Black: 5” x 3-3/4”

Basic White: 4-3/4” x 3-1/2” and 2” x 8-1/2”

Crumb Cake: 3” x 3”

Instructions:

  • Fold the Thick Basic White card base on the score line and adhere the Basic Black piece to the card front with Seal Adhesive.
  • Stamp “Celebrate” repeatedly with Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Parakeet Party, Pool Party, Highland Heather and Sweet Sorbet along the left side of the large Basic White piece then draw little squiggles and dots with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker along the right side of the cardstock and adhere to card with Seal.
  • Die cut the cone from the Crumb Cake cardstock and fold on score lines with right side in first, then left and adhere the left side with Dimensionals, then attach to card with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp scoops of ice cream on remaining Basic White piece with Sweet Sorbet, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Parakeet Party, Pool Party, and Highland Heather, then die-cut with the coordinating Die.
  • Fill the cone with the scoops of ice cream adhering with Seal on some scoops and Dimensionals on others (so it doesn’t get too bulky).
  • Add a few of the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots as shown.

Seaside Bay Thank you Card

Today’s card is a super simple Thank you card featuring the Seaside Bay stamp set and coordinating dies as well as the By the Bay Designer Series Paper that is part of the same suite of products.  Great news here is that the Seaside Bay stamp set and dies, which are currently featured in the Mini Catalog, are being carried over into the new Annual Catalog.  Unfortunately the gorgeous By the Bay DSP is retiring so get it now before it’s gone for good…oh and by the way it’s on sale for $3 off per pack!

If you look closely at the Basic White background of this card you’ll notice some horizontal lines in the paper.  I wanted to add a bit of texture and visual interest to the card so, using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored the 3-3/4″ x 5″ Basic White card stock at 1/8″, 1/4″, 3-1/4″, 4-3/4″ and 4-7/8″.  Next I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink above the 3-1/4″ score line.  A 3-3/4″ x 1″ piece of By the Bay DSP was attached to a 3-3/4″ x 1-1/4″ piece of Silver Foil.  The small shell was stamped with Night of Navy on Basic White and die cut using the Seaside Bay Dies, then attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The Basic White piece was then adhered to the Night of Navy card base with Stampin’ Seal.  The final touch was adding a bow made from the Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon and adhering it with a Mini Glue Dot.
