Celebrate Today Magnetic Board Kit alternate project

While on my Stamp, Crop & Cruise Retreat, we made an Easter Framed Art project (you can see the project HERE) which I designed by re-imagining the Celebrate Today Magnetic Board Kit.  Recently I was playing with some of the unused components of that kit to create this set of four cards.

I started with a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock that measures 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″and is scored at 4-1/4″.  The black mat is actually black with little white polka dots.  Its Designer Paper that was in the kit that I cut 3-1/4″ x 4-1//4″  and then adhered one of the memory & More cards from the kit. There is no stamping on these cards.  The images are stickers that are in the kit as well.  I used a more of the DSP for the envelope flaps and adhered a sticker as well.

Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper & Silly Goose stamp set

I finally got around to pulling out the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper, and can I just say this paper is so bright, fun and cheerful!  I LOVE IT!  I’ve got some bad news about the paper, but I’ve got some good news too.  This Designer Series Paper from the Spring Mini Catalog is retiring and is on the last chance list.  That means May 1st is the last day to be able to order it (unless it sells out sooner).  But…here’s the good news… this paper is 20% off!  How’s that for wonderful?!?  If you missed the full list of all things retiring and offered at a discount, CLICK HERE!

Color Combo

Measurements:

Melon Mambo: 4-1/4” x 11” scored at 5-1/2” for card base.

Basic White: 4” x 5-1/4” and 2-1/2” x 2-1/2”

Mango Melody: 2-1/2” x 5/8” (RETIRING PRODUCT)

Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper (RETIRING PRODUCT)

Chevron print: 3” x 3”

Melon Mambo print: 4-1/4” x 1”

Instructions:

  • Fold the Melon Mambo card base on the score line and adhere the large Basic White piece to the card front with Seal Adhesive.
  • Punch a notch from one end of the Melon Mambo print paper with the Banners Pick a Punch and adhere to the card as shown with Seal Adhesive.
  • Stamp sentiment on Mango Melody piece with Memento Ink and punch a notch on each end using the Banners Pick a Punch, then attach this to card using Dimensionals.
  • Stamp goose with Memento Ink on small Basic White piece and color in as follows:
    • Color beak and hat band with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend
    • Color both hat and floaty with Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend
    • Color flowers in hat and polka dots with Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blend
    • Color shadow under with Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend
    • Color frog and leaves with Light Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blend
    • Color water with Pool Party Stampin’ Blend
  • Paint Wink of Stella on goose, then adhere to card with Seal by centering it over the Melon Mambo piece.
  • Cut a circle window from the chevron print using the 2nd largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and adhere to card with Dimensionals.
  • Add a few of the Iridescent Pastel Gems as shown.
