Touches of Texture

A stamp set that certainly deserves a second look is Touches of Texture.  Check it out on page 141 of the Annual Catalog.  The images themselves don’t look all that special…until you start creating with them.

Let’s start with the lovely lacy textured image in the background of the Crushed Curry card stock.  The tone on tone look is wonderful for subtle texture.  Next there’s a splattering of muted ink behind the flowers and that image comes from the same stamp set.  Now onto the delicate stemmed flowers and the big burst of color from the bold imaged flower.  There are so many stunning things you can create with this set.  Try it out!

Floral Phrases in Sweet Sugarplum

I’ve shown you the Floral Phrases Suite in Blue and White and so now we’re going to check out Floral Phrases in Sweet Sugarplum.

The Floral Phrases Suite is stunning as shown on page 76 & 77 in the Annual Catalog, but the stamp set is so awesome how about changing up the color some?  For this card the Sweet Sugarplum was paired with Wild Wasabi and Whisper White.  A touch of texture was added to the card base with the Touches of Texture stamp set.  A touch of nostalgia was achieved with the Delicate White Doily and a sparkle from the Silver Foil Paper banner and the 1/8″ Silver Ribbon.  The multicolored floral image was colored directly on the stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers before stamped onto the card stock.
