For today’s card I am featuring the Fond of Autumn Bundle.  As with all of our bundles, there is a 10% savings when the stamp set (Fond of Autumn) is purchased along with the coordinating dies ( Autumn Bouquet Dies).  I love the homey feel of this card with the large gingham check from the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper.

Color Combo

I stamped the autumn image with Memento Ink and colored the folliage with Stampin’ Blends, then die-cut the image with the Autumn Bouquet Dies.  One theng I was thrilled to discover with this bundle is that not only is there a large die to cut out the image I used on the card, but there is a die that cuts out each section of the image.  So the yellow flowers and leaves on the right side of the image, can be an idividual die-cut as well as the leaves and berries on the left side and the leaves and acorns can be die-cut seperately too!  Oh, the versatility of this bundle is amazing!

Color Combo

This swinking technique is about as easy as it gets and each one turns out a bit different than the previous one.  I used Orchic Oasis ink on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and I “swinked” (swiped ink) all over the the cardstock fully covering the whole paper.  The next step is to spritz water on the cardstock and allow it to dry (or use the Heat Tool to dry it faster).  Spritzing it creates beautiful speckles all over the ink, which in this case makes it resemble a night sky with stars.  I also splattered some Wink of Stella on the cardstock.  I did this by squeezing the Wink of Stella until the tip is full of ink, then tapping the tube on something hard, like the accross the lid of the Wink of Stella.  This creates some “stars” that really sparkle and shine.  I finished off the card by stamping the sentiment from Brightest Glow stamp set with Whisper White Craft ink and attached the background to a Thick Basic White card base.  The card was finished off by attaching one of the Wonderful Snowflakes to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
