So many uses

The Number of Years stamp set in the Occasions catalog is a set that I think can mistakenly be over looked.  But if you take a closer look you’ll see that there are many uses for this stamp set.

For this card I used the flowers and the Happy Anniversary Sentiment, but it can also be used for birthday cards, scrapbook pages commemorating birthdays, anniversaries and even grades in school.  There are Framelits that coordinate with the set as well.  Take a closer look at the stamp set and see why it’s a set that belongs in your stamp collection.

Birthday Cake Pop-Up Card

I had a great time creating this fun pop up card.  From the outside it’s a cute birthday card featuring the Party With Cake stamp set and the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack.
The inside is where the wow from this card comes from.

I used the Party Pop-Up Thinlits Die to make the pop-up cake inside.  It’s so much easier than you would think.  I didn’t want to leave the cake plain, I wanted a decorated cake, so I sponged Blushing Bride on the top layer and Early espresso on the bottom layer.  I colored the flames of the candles with the So Saffron Marker and I made a glittery cake platter by using the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.  So much fun and it gets lots of oooh’s and aaah’s.

World Traveler

Today’s card uses the Sky’s the limit stamp set and the World Traveler Embossing Folder to make a great masculine card.
The world traveler Embossing Folder was inked up with Sahara Sand Ink and the card stock was put inside the folder and rubbed to get the ink on the card stock.  It wasn’t run through the Big Shot for embossing and texture – In this instance the folder was used as the stamp.  The last step to this card was stamping the airplane and sentiment from Sky is the Limit Sale-a-bration stamp set.
