Botanical Blooms Missing Middle Fold

Here’s a fun card we made the other night at my Stamp & Go Club.
I’m not sure what the “official” name for a card like this is, but I like to call it a “missing middle card” because it is missing the middle (center) of the card.
I’ll tell you how to make the card in a second, but first I want to share about the Botanical Blooms Bundle.  It’s the Botanical Blooms stamp set, the Botanical Builder Framelits and the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper all at a special savings of 15% off.  The designer paper is really neat because the stamp set coordinates with the print and you can actually stamp on the designer paper to add more pizzazz.  Look closely and you’ll see that the flower centers and the leaves are all stamped with images from the stamp set.

Thank you for allowing that short commercial break.
So the card is made by cutting the Old Olive card stock 4 1/4″ x 10″ and score it at 5 1/2″, so that the front of the card is 1″ short.  After adhering the designer paper to the lower edge of the card front, I ran it through the Big Shot with the “Vine” looking framelit going across the card at the line where the designer paper stops.  This now cuts the card into two pieces.  OH NO!!!!
Not to worry, that’s supposed to happen.  Now take a 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Window Sheet and attach it to the backside of the front with snail and attach the designer paper part of the card to the bottom of the window sheet which now makes the front of the card full sized again with the Window Sheet in the middle.  It makes it look like the middle is missing because you can see into the inside of the card.
I added die cut flowers and leaves for depth and dimension.  The final touch is painting the Expressions Natural Elements with our new Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  This Glitter pen is so awesome because it give the most beautiful shimmer without the glitter getting all over everything.  So, what do you think?

So what else can you use the parts and pieces of the Love Blossoms Embellishment kit for?  How about this adorable card?
The Gold Foil Heart Doily from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit takes center stage on this card while the Paper Clip with the Pre-tied Bow makes a sweet accent on this Valentines card.

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

Remember yesterday when I said there are ton’s of things left over from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit after I made the framed art piece?
Well, check this out!
My friend Cathy made this card using the “negative” part of the wooden element piece from the kit.  I think most people would have simply thrown out this part but with a little imagination and creativity, she turned it into a beautiful embellishment.  She also used the Satin Ribbon and Enamel Glitter Dots from the kit.
