Fall Leaves

After the last few super windy days  all of our leaves are off the trees and on the ground and it sure feels like the snowflakes are soon to follow.  I thought I’d share a lovely fall car which could easily be adapted as a thank you or sympathy or pretty much any other occasion.

I used the Leaflets Framelits to cut a leaf out of the center of the Cajun Craze card stock.  I then ran that piece though the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  Next I attached a piece of the Farmers Market Designer Series paper under the cut out s it shows through the leaf window.  I stamped a leaf from the Vintage Leaves stamp set in Cajun Craze, added a few more unstamped leaves and accented them with a Linen Thread bow.

MIssing Middle Christmas card

I created this “Missing Middle” Christmas card after being inspired by a lovely card swap I received at Founder’s Circle.  I call it a “missing middle” card because if you look closely, you’ll see that indeed the middle of the card it….missing!

So before I give you the dimensions for the card I need to share with you that the stamp set I used is the Peaceful Pines stamp set which coordinates with the Perfect Pines Framelits which is on sale for only $20.25 through Monday, November 16th.  Yippee, I love a sale!

Okay, so now to make the card, cut your card stock 4 1/4″ x 11″ and score at
5 1/2″ and run it through the Boughs and Berries Embossing Folder.  Now open the card up and cut the card at 7 1/2″ cutting through the front of the card.  With the remaining piece of the front, cut 2″ from the bottom edge and throw out the 1 1/2″ piece that was in the middle (or save it for some other project).  Close the card and lay the lower piece in place lining up with the lower edge of the inside of the card.  Attach the embossed piece of Cherry Cobbler to the card front with Dimensionals (this put the card back together without the middle.)

Then I stamped and used the Big Shot to die cut the trees and the “merry” and added a star button from the Home for Christmas Designer Buttons.

For the inside of the card I stuck with the Perfect Pines stamp set and just made sure my images didn’t show through the front when the card was closed.

Holly Jolly Christmas

Oh my goodness, the Reindeer Paper Clips are finally off back order and I got mine the other day.  They are so much fun!

I stamped the sentiment from Jolly Christmas in Versamark and heat embossed with Whisper White Embossing Powder on Basic Black card stock.  I wanted it to look like Chalkboard Art so I cut it out with the Lots of Labels Framelits.  I popped this layer up with Dimensionals and attached it to Real Red which was run through the Brick Wall Embossing Folder.  A few sprinkles of snowflakes also from the Jolly Christmas stamp set add to the whimsical flavor of the card.  The final touch is the Reindeer Paperclip topped off with one of the Red Home for Christmas Enamel Dots.
