Perfect in Purple

I have no idea why these shades of purple and white make this a perfect fall card, but I think it’s stunning.
 
 
I saw this card on a display board at the On Stage event I attended last weekend and was blown away with he beauty of it.  It starts out with the Woodlands Embossing Folder on simple Whisper White card stock.  The focal point and the sentiment both come from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set.    The various shades on the stamped leaf are achieved by stamping in Elegant Eggplant on Wisteria Wonder card stock then colored in with Elegant Eggplant marker and the White Gel Pen.  The leaves are then cut out with the Leaflets Framelits.  The final touches are the Tea Lace Paper Doily and the Whisper White Cotton Ribbon bow. 
 
The Lighthearted Leaves stamp set and the Woodlands Embossing Folder are both on the retiring list from the holiday catalog, so order them know while they’re still available.

Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

 I love that Stampin’ Up! has shared with us a list of which products from the Holiday catalog will be retiring, but I’m oh so sad that the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is on that list.  So hear my warning… if you don’t own this yet, order it now!
 
 
 
At the On Stage event in Milwaukee this past weekend, I was able to take a few photos of some beautiful cards created using the Woodland Embossing folder.
 
 
Did you notice that the pine trees are in the background of the birch trees?  Wonder how that was done?

 
All you have to do is ink up the pine trees with ink and stamp it directly onto the inside of the embossing folder on the half that has the Sizzix logo.  Now place the Whisper White card tock inside the embossing folder and run it through the Big Shot like normal.  When you take it out you’ll have the stamped image of the pines and the embossed image o the birch trees.  Quite a stunning look don’t you think?
