Snow Way!

Well, we’ve got snow here in Wisconsin, so maybe it’s time to build a snowman!

This happy snowman comes from the Snow Place stamp set and is cut out with the coordinating Snow Friends Framelits.  It’s kind of like paper dolls for snowmen.  I used the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder for some texture on the Whisper White card stock and added the Real Red and Garden Green 1/8″ Striped Ribbon.

Snow Place Like Home

So they are predicting 6-8″ of snow in our area over Friday night into Saturday morning, so I feel the need to bundle up like this little penguin.

All of the images and the sentiment on this card come from the Snow Place stamp set which coordinates with the Snow Friends Framelits to cut out all of the images in the stamp set.  I scattered the Marina Mist snowflakes on the Whisper White card stock then added the sentiment to the lower edge before running it through the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  For the igloo I used the Ovals Collection Framelits and then ran that through the Brick Wall Embossing Folder and sponged Marina Mist Ink over the igloo.  A few Dimensionals behind the igloo and penguin and his scarf make them really come to life.

Wishing You Peace

This is a card I made way back in September for a gathering with other demonstrators.  It was a big hit then, so I used it as a make & Take for my October parties and it was a big hit, so I thought I’d share it with you.

I kept with a clean and simple color palate of Very Vanilla and Kraft Cardstock.  Many people aren’t even aware that we have the 12″ x 12″ Kraft Cardstock or the Corrugated Paper which also comes 12″ x 12″ and is packaged with Whisper White and Kraft together.  The snowflake images from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set are stamped in Crumb Cake Ink and punched out with the coordinating Snow Flurry Punch and it’s layered on a 2″ circle punched from the Corrugated Paper.  I made a tiny banner and stamped the sentiment from Holly Jolly Greetings, then I used the Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies with the Big Shot to cut the delicate “peace” from the Kraft Cardstock.  I added a touch of elegance with a banner of the Very Vanilla 1 1/4″ Subtle Stripes Satin Ribbon and a few Pearls.

The Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies are one of many items rom the Holiday catalog that will be retiring.
