When my son was young he was a huge fan of the Harry Potter series of books.  Because of his interest, I read the books too.  Every time I see this hat from the

Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set I think Harry Potter and the sorting hat.  Does it remind you of anything? 

 

 

Lots of product from the Holiday catalog was used on this card.  The Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper set the stage for the color palate.  Next up a bit of bling with the Black Glimmer Paper, the super cute “spooky” from the Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies.

 

Isn’t this elegant?  I love the Smoky Slate, Whisper White and Night of Navy color combination not to mention the silver sparkles. 

 

 

The Softly Falling Embossing Folder adds a hint of falling snow to the back ground.  Next a piece of the Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Series Vellum is attached to a piece of  Whisper White cardstock which allows the silver snowflakes on the vellum to really pop.  The ornament from Embellished Ornaments is stamped in Night of Navy ink on Smoky Slate card stock and cut out with the coordinating Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies. (these two items are bundles together for a 15% savings…yay!)  The ornament is then embellished with a Night of Navy Seam Binding bow and the new Winter Wonderland Embellishments.

 

The Spider Web Doilies were such a huge hit, they sold out the very first day the catalog went live.  But not to fear, they’ve received another shipment of them and their off the back order report, so I thought I’d share this fun card.

 

 

The witches hat comes from the Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set and was die cut with the coordinating Boo to You Framelits along with the Black Glitter paper “Boo”.  The best part is that the Framelits and the stamp set are sold in a bundle so we all can save 15%…gotta love that!  The friendly spider image is from the same stamp set.
