Stampin Express Team Get Together

Yesterday was our Stampers Express Team Get Together.  We had a great time stamping and sharing what those of us that went to convention learned.  This is really a great group of people to hang out with!

I had shared with them this card, which was one of our Make & Takes from Convention made with the brand new stamp set “Your Presents” which we all received while there.  This set is really great because it was designed with the “Kissing” technique in mind.  Kissing is where you ink up a stamp that has a design  (in this case the plaid design) and you stamp it (kiss it) directly onto a bold imaged stamp and then stamp that on your paper.

Then I showed them how to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) by taking the above card and crating something new.  Here’s on of the cards they created at our get together.

Same stamp set, same layout, I just stamped everything in Night of Navy and used a strip of the new “Season of Cheer” Designer Series Paper along the lower edge of the card.  We also talked about how it could easily be converted to a wedding card or even a baby shower card.
I love the versatility of this stamp set which will be available to order from the new Holiday Catalog on September 1st.

Timeless Elegance Sypathy

Today I’m sharing the final card from my Timeless Elegance Class I held earlier this week.  Every card in the class used the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper ad the 3/8″ Basic Black Satin Ribbon.

The card base was cut 8 1/4″ long by 4 1/4″ tall and scored at 5 1/2″.  The designer paper is cut 4? x 2 1/2″.  The sentiment on the front and inside of the card come from the “Heartfelt Sympathy” stamp set.  I embellished the front with tiny flowers and Basic Pearl Accents.

Here’s the inside of the card which is a card in itself.  The Basic Black card stock is cut 7″ x 3″ and is scored at 3 1/2″.

Manly Timeless Elegance

So I’ve shared a feminine card featuring the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper and yesterday I shared a “sexy” version, so today I thought we’d better do a manly version.

The bold Black and Vanilla stripes in this paper set the tone for this card.  I opted to leave the elk (that is what this animal is, right?) from “The Wilderness Awaits” stamp set in black and not colored in as I think it pops this way.  Once again I used the 3/8″ Basic Black Satin Ribbon on this card just like I did on the others.  The banner also comes from the Designer Series Paper.  I tell you this paper is a must have!  I’ll have one more card to share with you tomorrow that features the Timeless Elegance Paper.  Ta-ta for now!
